"Mario Kart"
When I was little, my dad's side of the family took trips together in my grandfather's van. Once, we crashed into a greenhouse on our way back. The adults told us kids that our grandfather got into a fight with another driver who threw a banana peel, causing the crash. We believed it. Fifteen years later, at my first corporate job, I told this story to my creative director. He laughed and said it wasn't Mario Kart; cars can't slip on banana peels. Embarrassed, I realized the truth: my grandfather and another driver had a road rage incident and crashed. The truth is never as fun.
